Hello, fellow lovers of chess! Whether you’re new or a veteran or simply enjoy this delightful game, we invite everyone to play and learn with coffee or tea and light snacks. The goal is to have a pleasant time playing chess--no judgment, no anxiety. Chess is for everyone! So bring your chess boards, an open heart and mind, and let’s have fun.
This chess club is for casual play, making new friends, and instruction. We will not hold tournaments. We usually meet every other Saturday and Sunday afternoon at local cafes and parks in Hillcrest.
Also, please feel free to donate to help pay for meetup fees, event spaces, and equipment (chessboards, folding tables, chairs, etc).
