San Diego Inland Love on A Leash is a chapter of the national Foundation for Pet Provided Therapy, a 501(c)(3) charity recognized by the IRS.
For Love on a Leash Certified Teams and Teams in Training. Our members are teams of handlers and their personal pets who volunteer their time and love to members of our community: Hospitals, health centers, hospices, and emergency areas; senior centers, assisted living centers, adult day care centers, Alzheimer facilities; schools and libraries; and Assist in therapy training, evaluation and certification.
Mission Statement: Increase public awareness of the benefits of pets provided therapy; Provide education to organizations and individuals on the value of pet-provided therapy; Provide training, evaluation, certification and support for pets and their handlers; and Support the standards of Love on a Leash, Foundation for Pet Provided Therapy.
