Greetings San Diegans! I am a local case manager and have been lucky to work with various populations in this beautiful city, and one thing I noticed is there is not enough help! And for those who wanna help, you have to be a worker, be involved in a church, time specifications, etc. I tried to take it upon myself to pass out meals on weekends when I could with friends, but it is too large of a task. As the holidays come around, I know people enjoy donating to organizations and volunteering, but they don’t always know where to start or feel like they need a specific role to make a difference. That’s why I’ve decided to create this community service group — a place where everyone can pitch in, regardless of their background or schedule. Whether you can donate a few hours, a few dollars, a meal, or just your time and compassion, there’s always a way to contribute.
This is about coming together as a community, with no barriers or restrictions. We have all had difficult times, lets build a group that supports our neighbors not matter what circumstance they may be in. You never know how small of an action can make the biggest impact. We’ll be working on various projects throughout the city if anyone would like to contribute. And as the holidays approach, let's take advantage of this time to spread some extra cheer, but also to build lasting connections that can continue into the new year.
