I need to know your ability for you to have a chance to be added to this hike or you should have strong scrambling/bouldering record on your profile to be considered.

You have to have endurance, agility and common sense to conquer this hike.

This is the steepest, shortest route to the tram via the ridge.
No trail, lots of class 3 terrain, loose dirt, loose rocks, bushwhacking and route finding

DETAILS:
4000 feet in the first 2 miles. 7,000 feet in 5 1/2 miles 6 miles total. Several bumps and notches towards the end. We will scramble up and down along a narrow ridge at times. Crux is the last portion of the ridge before topping out into the valley. This is mostly class 3 scrambling over large boulders.

Spectacular views of the desert and surrounding mountain.

We'll follow the ridge north of the tram to Long valley and take the tram back down.

Total distance: 6 miles, 12 miles to San Jacinto Peak and back to the tram

Elevation gain: 7,500 ft,/ 9,800 ft to San Jacinto Peak

Difficulty: Very difficult

Duration: 9+ hours

Bring 5 liters water( know your personal needs-everyBODY is different), energy snacks, power bars, protein bars and electrolytes, salty snacks Bring medication for headache and altitude sickness. 10 essentials

Wear hiking boots with good traction, gloves, gaiters, trekking poles, Headlamp or flashlight, Emergency bivy blanket, Fleece jacket. 10 essentials. Dress in layers for weather variations.
