\~\~Excellent week day conditioning and training hike to prepare us for the more challenging weekend hikes

Several combination of short and long descent and a long ascent to the summit. We will be taking Nighthawk Trail back to the parking lot.

Intermediate hikers only! We will be travelling at a moderate sometimes fast pace. Make sure you are conditioned to do this hike and can keep up or stay close with the group. We will be sharing the trail with bikers on some sections of the trail, so be alert always to avoid injuries.

Distance: 5-6 miles

Elevation gain: 1,500 ft+(cumulative)

Difficulty: Moderately challenging

Pace: Moderate/sometimes fast

Fees/Permits: None

It's a short hike, but as always it is a good idea to come prepared with the following:

Water, sturdy hiking shoes/boots, headlamp/flashlight, trekking poles if you use them. Light snack while moving.
