Come join us for an adventurous hike on the Ellie Lane trail !

HIKE DETAILS:

We will start from the Iron Mtn Trailhead parking lot

Iron Mountain Trail head (map) (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Intersection+of+Poway+Rd+and+Highway+67.%2C+Poway%2C+CA)

This trail has switch backs, has loose rock, and has rock steps. It is a tough hike because we go up and then down, up again and down again, and up again followed by down once again. About 5.2+ miles total.

Meet at 5:00 pm in the Trailhead Parking Lot (intersection of Poway Rd and Highway 67). Head up the mountain no later than 5:07 pm. This is not a beginners hike, but more intermediate.

Approximately 2+hours total.

LENGTH: About 5.2+ miles

Elevation Gain: About 1332 ft

DIFFICULTY: Moderately Strenuous

FACILITIES: Toilets are located at the parking lot

Hope to meet new people and run into some familiar faces.

No Shows will be frowned upon and marked.

BRING your usual hiking supplies including water, snack, poles, etc. Watch for the weather forecast. It could be warm, it could cold, it could be threatening rain, it could be windy. Dress accordingly.
