Dear All,

Mount Diablo State Park includes the iconic prominent East Bay peak that is its namesake as well as several additional surrounding peaks on its flanks.

With a hike length of 8 miles and 2,000 feet of elevation gain, our hike will be near the upper end of our usual intermediate level. PLEAES CONSIDER YOUR PHYSICAL CONDITION AND MAKE SURE YOU ARE ABLE TO HANDLE SUCH HIKE.

This hike is mostly exposed.

TOTAL ELEVATION GAIN: 2,000 feet
START TIME: 10:00 a.m. (meeting at 9:30 a.m.)
FINISH TIME: 3:00 p.m. (Estimate)
DIFFICULTY: Moderate Plus (Upper end of our usual moderate hikes)

NOTE: The hike organizer will ask for a VOLUNTARY donation (suggested amount 5 dollars) at the end of the hike to help keep the Meetup group going.
