UF Campus Bike Ride/Walk/Talk
Details
This will be a ~ 13-15-mile bicycle ride within UF campus with stops at points of interest.
UF campus is a unique campus with beautiful buildings and grounds and will be relatively quiet as it will be in semester recess and Sunday. Ride back to our original site.
HELMETS are required to be worn during this ride.
General Information: Bring drinks and snacks per preference. Riding gloves advised. Dress to comfort and safety.
Bathrooms: Yes, at the park and various places on campus.
Other amenities: Optional gathering at Mia Apa Restaurant afterwards.
Dogs allowed: NO
Restricted to FTA Members only. 10 Experienced bicycle riders. Be able to ride 15 miles through various terrains on campus as well as ride or walk up and down NW 8th Avenue, just east of Westside Park. Bicycles should be in good rideable condition. I recommend that you have your bicycle checked out at a local bicycle shop if you have not ridden your bike within the past week or so. Tire pressure, chair lube, brakes, etc. if not ridden regularly will need attention for safety and riding performance.
Not an FTA member? Join FTA by phone, 877-HIKE-FLA or online at floridatrail.org/join.
