This is a loop hike to the summits of Twin Peaks in Poway. Part of the hike is along dirt roads, but the trails up to the summits are very steep. The elevation gain is about 700 feet. The distance is about 2.1 miles. The hike is what Alltrails calls the Twin Peaks Long Loop.
We've done this hike before. For descriptions and pictures see

We'll meet at 9:30 AM in Silverset Park at the corner of Silverset St. and Shadowline St. in Poway (N 32 58.847 W 117 3.064). We'll step off at 9:45 AM. Silverset Park has rest rooms.
SUGGESTED ROUTE FROM SAN DIEGO: North on I-15, then east on Ted Williams Parkway. At the end of Ted Williams Parkway, turn right (east) on Twin Peaks Road, then left into Silverset St. Follow Silverset St. to its end and turn right into the parking lot. If the parking lot is full, park on a nearby street.
Wear suitable layered clothing and good hiking shoes. Hiking poles will be helpful on the steep slopes. Take water and use sun protection. No lunch stop is planned, but you may want to take a snack. Take a camera if you wish.
