We will begin at Sims Park where there is a nice kayak dock and free parking. We will paddle 1.75 miles to Frances Ave Park, where we hope to stretch our legs before paddling back.

THIS IS INTERMEDIATE, NOT A PADDLE FOR FIRST TIMERS unless you have some conditioning. If you bike regularly or do zumba or other exercise you should be fine, but if you have done anything for years maybe try another paddle first.

A moderate paddle at 4 miles with some river currents. 4 miles is doable for someone experienced or with upper body conditioning but may be impossible for someone not in the best of upper body 💪 shape.

It's not fair to the group if someone comes and is way slower or needs someone else to take them back to the launch part way into the paddle.

CHOICES BRING YOUR OWN KAYAK OR PADDLEBOARD OR RENT

You are not guaranteed a rental kayak unless you receive confirmation. "Own" equipment just show up with event fee.

First come first served. We trailer in boats for PAID and CONFIRMED reservations, there is no company onsite. Own folks may pay at FAREHARBOR or bring event fee and pay at ramp.\*\*

We have room for extra OWN folks but rentals fill very fast. Rental trailer size is limited. There are no onsite rentals.

Recently a participant got separated and had to be picked up a couple miles from the finish point as they did not stay with the group and made a wrong turn. It is each kayaker's responsibility to have the ability and attentiveness to stay with the group and not go wondering off by themselves.

Please get there 10-15 minutes early to set up, as the paddle will start punctually.

NOTE It's a distance to ramp from parking, if you have wheels bring them or ask Paul to help ya lug your yak.

Free parking at launch area. Arrive early we may have a lot of people coming.

Regarding weather we will cancel for lightning or severe wind. We do not cancel for a summer shower. It's Florida.
