What we’re about
Does getting some fresh air, meeting new friends, and doing your bit to protect our beautiful beaches sound like your idea of a good time? If the answer is yes, come join us every Sunday morning at Sandy Hook for a beach cleanup!
We will meet every Sunday at 8am in parking lot B. From there, we will go onto the beach and spend some time cleaning up Sandy Hook. Bring a trash bag (or 2! Or 10!), and fill it with trash while meeting your fellow neighbors who also care about our community and environment.
There is no specific end time. Stay as long as you'd like. And no pressure to come every single week! We all have busy lives, so just do what you can, when you can, with what you have.
Please bring your own trash bag and plan to carry it off the beach as Sandy Hook is a carry in/carry out park. Feel free to wear gloves or bring your own trash grabber.
This group is low key, unstructured, and relaxed. If you want to clean a different part of the beach, feel free; I am only suggesting we go to lot B because it seems like the worst of the litter is at the beginning of the Hook. But I'm open to ideas and suggestions!
