From Scarcity to Abundance: A Shift in Mindset
As we transition from the cold of winter to a warmer spring, we’ll explore how our mindset can shift from one of scarcity to one of abundance. What does it mean to embrace abundance in our thoughts and actions, much like the flourishing warmth of summer?
Scarcity Mindset Research by Eldar Shafir and Sendhil Mullainathan (2013): Their book, Scarcity: Why Having Too Little Means So Much, explores how scarcity—whether it be of time, money, or resources—shapes human behavior. They argue that scarcity narrows focus, reduces cognitive bandwidth, and leads to poor decision-making, a cycle of scarcity. Their research emphasizes the importance of shifting from a scarcity mindset to break this cycle.
