A salon-style get together for local tabletop roleplaying gamers. Come hang out with other Santa Cruz County residents interesting in geeking out with fellow TTRPG enthusiasts on the 2nd Saturday of each month.

The Santa Cruz Gamer Gaggle is organized and hosted by local Santa Cruz County gamers (and members of this Meetup Group) Erick Schmidt and Matt Steele. We’re just friends building a community of local gamers who want to sit down and talk gaming every once in a while.

There’s nothing like sitting across the table from someone and talking about the latest release or industry controversy or favorite setting or rules set. We want a little more of that in our lives and want to do it with other folks in Santa Cruz County who feel the same.

Our goal is to build an in-person TTRPG community of Santa Cruz County locals. We know from our own experiences that there are a lot of gamers in the area, but they are disconnected and isolated. We want to bring us all together to meet, hang out, and chat about TTRPGs. Hope to see you at the Gaggle.

This month's icebreaker topic is: The Role of Combat in TTRPGs. Are they just about XP? Do they propel the story forward? Are they good for roleplaying and character interaction/development?
