What we’re about
Are you single, over 55, and want to socialize with people close to your own age? Do you wish you had some friends to go with you somewhere? Our group has a long list of activities that we have enjoyed together with much more to come! There are so many fun places here in Edmond, Oklahoma City, and the surrounding areas. Although we spend most of our evenings dining out, we could go to the Arts Festival, a casino, concerts, a good movie, a new restaurant, a Bricktown activity, river ride, have a picnic in the park, visit museums, do a wine-tasting or see a play. There are also a lot of options for road trips here in OK to see historical sites or festivals. Suggestions for other events are welcomed.
The focus will NOT be on a "meat market" atmosphere, but more like friends, neighbors, or your Sunday School class. We are not a dating site, but who knows ... you might just meet your future partner here!
There will be a variety of different events, around 2-3 per month! There is only an annual fee of $10 for operational costs and miscellaneous expenses. The adventures and camaraderie will be well worth it! So come try us out. Your first 30 days are free!! Let's get together and have some fun!!
In addition, there are several rules of this website:
1. You must change your RSVP to NO if you cannot attend an event. Excessive absences without changing your RSVP are grounds for dismissal from the group.
2. Along with the Organizer(s), there must be at least three other members who have RSVP'd for a particular event for that event to take place.
3. You must be 55 years or older to be a member of this group. Any exceptions to this rule must be approved by one of the Organizers. There are many other Meetup groups aimed towards younger generations.
4. Members are requested to put your own picture on your profile so that we can know who we are looking for when you come to your first event.

P.S. Please do not respond to anyone who tries to (1) flatter or date you, (2) get your email or phone number, or (3) ask for money, or (4) wants you to join another group. They will try to reach you through your Meetup message option. All four of these actions are strictly prohibited on this site, but sometimes get through anyway. You can simply Block this member, but be sure and report it to Meetup and one of the Organizers, so that we can tell other members to watch out for this person.

Let's do Christmas at Hopscotch again this year!! We had a blast last year and will surely do it again! We'll do our White Elephant gift exchange again too. In case you don't know what a White Elephant gift is, it's something that you already have that is new or like-new, but you just don't want or need it anymore. Think re-gifting. If you can't find anything and just have to buy something, please don't spend over $10!
Hopscotch has an eclectic menu which you can find here: Hopscotch Kitchen & Bar - Food Menu. We have reservations for 24 right now. So sign up early, but if you find you can't go, please change your RSVP to NO, as soon as you know you can't make it so that others can attend.
