Salkhatchee River Adventure

Salkhatchee River is a slow meandering backwater river in Bamberg and Allendale County. Those that toured Rivers Bridge SP with SCFS early 2023 will understand the significance of this river in SC history.

This will be a out and back paddle due to sparse landings in this area.

I plan to paddle up to 7 miles but anyone can turn around at anytime. The slow moving current makes paddling up stream manageable.

We will meet at Bufords Landing in Ulmer SC where hwy 321/301 crosses Salkhatchee River.
