Wednesday Christmas Walk: Hughenden Manor
Details
A new walk and location for some Christmas spirit at Hughenden Park and Manor, High Wycombe. Our route is between 4 and 5 miles and includes a walk to the monument and a variety of views, tracks and woods. We skirt the estate and walk towards Downley, then loop back towards the Manor stopping at tea rooms. From here it is a 15 minute clear walk back across parkland through tree avenues to the car park. If anyone is National Trust member they may wish to check opening times of the house to visit before heading back across the park. Walking time approx. 2 hours.
The price for the walk is £2, which will go to the British registered charity, Sportability, which provides adventurous activities for people with paralysis.
For afterwards, there is a pleasant courtyard cafe which will have a Christmas tree in situ by then which should provide a nice atmosphere.
Free Parking
Coates Lane car park for Hughenden Park is free for users of park facilities. There is also free parking further along by the children’s play park, just past the Tancred Road/Coates Lane junction.
