What we’re about
Welcome! Each month, we commit to read a science fiction book, followed by a meet-up to discuss its ideas. We’re a community of casual enthusiasts who are passionate about diving into new and thrilling worlds. Our mission is to foster an inclusive, safe space where everyone—regardless of background, identity, or level of expertise—can share their insights and opinions.
Please look in the discussions to suggest and vote for books you want to read.
Club Rules:
- Inclusive Dialogue: Our discussions are open to a wide range of perspectives. Harmful ideologies or discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or any other personal characteristic will not be tolerated.
- Respectful Debate: Spirited debate is welcome, but we ask that you engage with others’ ideas thoughtfully and respectfully, rather than targeting the individual.
- Boundaries: Members are asked to respect personal and emotional boundaries. Any form of harassment will result in immediate removal from the group.
- Spoiler Alerts: To make discussions enjoyable for everyone, please indicate if your comment contains spoilers.
- Commitment: While there’s no requirement to attend every meeting, regular participation is encouraged to maintain a sense of community.
- Age Requirement: Unfortunately, we can only allow members who are 18 and older to join the club. This is not solely because the books we choose may contain mature content, but also because organizing meetings involving minors introduces complexities we are unable to manage at this time.
Whether you’re a newcomer to the genre or a seasoned aficionado, we welcome you to explore the thrilling dimensions of sci-fi literature with us.
