What we’re about

You don’t have to be Scottish, wear a kilt, or even speak English to enjoy Scottish dancing! Our organization has groups who dance all over the world AND right here in Watertown, MA

Dance to the lively beat of jigs, reels and hornpipes, and to the elegant strathspey, all exuberantly played by our own wonderful musicians.

Join the fun... any age, singles or couples... all are welcome! Anyone may invite anyone to a dance.

Please wear sneakers or soft-soled dance shoes.

Scottish Country Dancing is done in sets; that is, it’s done in formations
of several couples, usually four. Individuals interact with partners, corners, and others in the set. Several figures make up each dance.

The figures are varied, and the steps lend an element of grace
and style. It is not necessary to bring a partner; participants usually
change partners after every dance.
