Moderate: Dumgoyne from Strathblane & the pipetrack.
Details
Dumgoyne hill from Strathblane, by the pipetrack.
The pipes supply water to Glasgow from Loch Katrine. Not a walk along narrow rusty (imperial/metric) pipes but a nice broad track instead through the trees, with open views to the Kilpatrick hills. Dumgoyne is famously short but steep, nice views to Loch Lomond. Good paths throughout.
Planning to go for a coffee in the Kirkhouse Inn after walk.
As its lower level, less weather dependent than normal.
Dog Friendly. Sheep/cattle at start of pipe track and so need to be on leash. For any queries on the day 07901 987769.
TERRAIN
Good track, boggy in places but well established steep path to Dumgoyne top.
