What we’re about
The Seattle Dungeons & Dragons and RPG Meetup Group is a group run by volunteers, open to anyone who wants to play, teach, talk about, or learn about Role Playing Games in the Puget Sound area. We support Dungeons & Dragons of all editions and other Role-Playing Games (RPGs) like Dungeon Crawl Classics, Blades in the Dark, Monster of the Week, Savage World, Pathfinder, 13th Age, Tales from the Loop, Fate, Fiasco, Call of Cthulhu, Starfinder, or Star Trek Adventures.
We provided a positive, friendly, and welcoming space for all adventurers, regardless of class, race, gender, ability, age, or sexual identity.
We have multiple game events occurring monthly for anyone interested in playing various Role Playing Games, as well social events and workshop events.

We are always looking to bring new people into the game and particularly want to encourage those who want to take the plunge to become a Dungeon Masters and run their owns games!

Ever wanted to play D&D but not sure how to get started? The idea of joining a D&D game with no experience can be very daunting, especially when you have NO idea about even the basics.
Do you have questions about D&D? Questions about character creation? Campaigns? How to play? Which dice to use? Maybe you've watch a live play cast or listened to a podcast and want to learn more about D&D.
This workshop is a short introduction to Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition. We'll go over some of the basic concepts of the game, game play, rules and variations, character creation, and MOSTLY answers your questions.
This workshop is open to both new players and experienced players who what to share their knowledge.

In the shadows of shiny skyscrapers and derelict residential blocks, ancient stories and urban legends assume physical form, seeping into the City through Rifts in mortal form. But the Mist, a mystical veil known only to a select few, prevents the unwitting denizens of the City from ever acknowledging the miracles they witness daily, hiding their true nature from one another. Distracted by their everyday hopes and fears, the people on the streets remain oblivious to the clash of mythical forces that drive and control the very life of the City.

What is City of Mist?
City of Mist is a role-playing game of film noir investigation and super-powered action. It is set in a modern metropolis rife with crime, conspiracies, and mysteries. The protagonists are Rifts, ordinary people who became the living embodiment of a legend, their Mythos. While your Rifts may seek to strike a balance between the mysterious nature of their Mythos and their mortal aspirations, the powers within them always threaten to tear their lives apart. They have unwittingly become a part of a secret world of clashing stories, and soon other legends will come looking for them, with demands. **This is not a gaming event.**Ever wanted to play D&D but not sure how to get started? The idea of joining a D&D game with no experience can be very daunting, especially when you have NO idea about even the basics.
This workshop is a step by step character creation using DnDBeyond. We'll go over the various points of a character sheet, explain what they do and what they mean, and explain some of the different choices you can make.
Time permitting, we'll go over the basics of creating characters from narrative, mechanical, and role playing perspectives.
Bring some curiosity and a desire to find your new character.
