Discussion | Post-Election Check-In

Many in our community may be in a rough place following the election. I want to reaffirm the commitment to building this community and to supporting its members - particularly those in marginalized groups who may now be facing a more difficult situation.

For those that may not know, Project 2025 - if implemented - will strip away our rights as non-believers. Just one example: "employers may make employment decisions based on religion regardless of non-discrimination laws"

The Project's views on abortion, LGBTQ+ community, and anyone else that doesn't adhere to their religious ideology is frightening. "This starts with deleting the terms sexual orientation and gender identity (“SOGI”), diversity, equity, and inclusion (“DEI”), gender, gender equality, gender equity, gender awareness, gender-sensitive, abortion, reproductive health, reproductive rights.."
