Presentation: Preserving Church-State Separation Amidst Christian Nationalism
Details
This event is hosted and presented by the Jefferson Humanists at their location in Golden. This talk may be of interest to Secular Hub members and others.
The separation of religion and government is under threat. A coalition of churches and secular groups in the Denver metro area has been formed to provide information about the Christian Nationalist movement, and is sponsoring this talk by Nicole-Shea Niebler, a staff member of Americans United for Separation of Church and State. She will address the current challenges and consequences of Christian Nationalism in the U.S., and explore how these ideologies and also Project 2025 conflict with the foundational principles of church-state separation. She will also discuss the implications for policy and society.
This event is free and open to the public, and will include a chance for attendees to ask questions and engage in further discussion after the presentation. Doors will open at 3:30, and a reception with light refreshments will follow the presentation.
