THE BEAVER SUPER-MOON, 99%, AT POSSE GROUNDS PAVILION
Details
If you've never seen a full moon from Posse Grounds Pavilion, you are in for a treat. If you have, it never seems to get old.
""There are only two more full moons left in 2024, and the November full moon is particularly special.
The Beaver moon will be the fourth consecutive supermoon of the year, following the supermoons in August, September and October. A supermoon occurs when the moon is at its closest point to Earth in its orbit, making it appear larger and brighter than usual.""
This event is held on the evening before the full moon, but at 99% full, it's not even noticeable. We will sit up on the stage at The Posse Grounds Pavilion. Click on the direction's icon on the map below to find your way to the parking area for the event. The pavilion is directly across the street from the parking lot.
It's going to cool off very quickly as the sun begins to set. Wear warm clothes, bring a chair, and maybe even a blanket as well. I'll be bringing my 12-power binoculars which will give you an awesome image of the moon.
Because of the Mogollon Rim to the east, the moon will not be visible exactly at the official moonrise time for that evening, but will show itself about 30 minutes later, about 5:00pm.
