What we’re about

We’re the Alabama Senior and Elder Education Network (Alabama SEEN).

Supporting Seniors and Caregivers!

This is a place to connect and learn about the latest information together, for medical, financial, legal, community, and fun times, too.

We’ll meet over Zoom and in person to review and talk about resources together. The meetings will be fairly light because some of the materials can be dense! We can make a “wish list” of resources to look at together.

Potential Topics to Cover:

  • Elder care planning
  • Caregiver resources
  • Safety and prevention of abuse
  • Health and wellness strategies
  • Local resources and support
  • We’ll make the meetings as fun as possible!

Potential Resources to Discuss:
CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services)
Alabama Department of Senior Services (ADSS)
Area Agencies on Aging (AAA)
NAIC (National Association of Insurance Commissioners
National Center on Elder Abuse (NCEA)
National Adult Protective Services Association (NAPSA)
National Council on Aging (NCOA)
Senior Corps Volunteer opportunities
Social Security Administration
National Institute on Aging (NIA)
