We're back for another Socratic Seminar in the Digital Garage at 717 Market Street, San Francisco! (PLEASE NOTE ITS ON A SATURDAY THIS) Following the meetup is the Bitcoin Holiday Party held a few blocks away.

The reading list will be posted here a couple days before the meetup.

This is an event for those interested in learning more about and discussing Bitcoin and related protocols. The event is formatted to foster debate, information sharing, and lively discussion.

Discussion topics from a variety of sources are collated by meetup members in the weeks preceding the event. We'll discuss pull requests in the Bitcoin Core and other relevant repositories, network statistics, research papers, technical blog posts and other relevant content.

The event is generously sponsored by the Human Rights Foundation, Localhost Research, and Viva Bitcoin. Viva Bitcoin is a community group on a mission to onboard 1M Latinos to Bitcoin. HRF is a long-standing organization that has an amazing grant program that you should consider applying for if you are an active community member or builder. Localhost Research is a new organization in the Bay Area sponsoring engineers and researchers contributing to projects critical to our ecosystem. Three of their team members will be joining us for the event. They are really excited about getting involved in our local community and look forward to meeting you all.

This year we are doing back-to-back events. From 12:00-1:45PM SF BitDevs and LitDevs are co-hosting a Socratic Seminar at Digital Garage. Everyone is welcome to this event. Afterwards we will all head over to Eve for the holiday celebration.

Bring your friends, your family, yourself and get in the holiday spirit with your other family… Bitcoiners! Eve is opening exclusively for us during the day, so we have the venue to ourselves. There will be music, light food, a bar, and so much bitcoining! All paid for by our generous sponsors.

While there won't be any kid activities this is a family friendly event and supervised kiddos are welcome. Please register ahead of time if you are coming so we have a decent head count for the event.
