What we’re about
Greetings, SF Bay Area Movie Lovers! We are a movie loving meetup group hosting in-person movie watching and discussion events in San Francisco. Typical events involve watching a movie at a theater followed by discussion at a nearby bar, cafe, or restaurant.
My goal is to foster a community of movie lovers that regularly meets to watch and discuss movies of all kinds. I hope that some of the active members will eventually step up and host events so that more people can participate.

Join us for the 15th edition of our MEMBERS' CHOICE Event--the Kung Fu Edition! We'll be discussing two Kung Fu movies of your choice on Sunday, December 1 at noon at Starbelly in the Castro District. Starbelly charges for no shows, so please update your RSVP at least 24 hours before the event.
For this event, members vote on movies to discuss during brunch and the top TWO movies will be chosen! It’s up to you to watch the movies on your own before we meet. All movie options are available online at Kanopy.com (you can get a free account using your public library card). The winners will be announced on 11/24 so that people have time to view the movies before we meet. Because there is limited seating for our reservation please RSVP only if you are committed to attending!

Join us for NOSFERATU from director Robert Eggers (The Lighthouse, The Witch) on Saturday, December 28th at Alamo Draft House, the 6pm show. We will meet in the lobby at 5:45pm for quick intros and again after the show to gather before walking to a nearby bar/restaurant for discussion.
Alamo has reserved seating so please purchase your ticket in advance. I am in row 7, seat 11 if you would like to with me.
Location for the after movie discussion is TBD, but will likely be El Rey Taquiza Artesanal on Mission St. Please plan to purchase a drink or food item for use of their space. FYI some places in the Mission are cash only or have a minimum order amount for cards.
