Sunset Sailing adventure aboard the cutter Cetacea on Sunday, Nov 24!
Details
The cutter Cetacea (latin, marine mammal-dolphins/whales), a beautiful, strong, and well-appointed 42' blue-water sailboat with extensive operational and safety systems, invites a few crew aboard with a highly experienced skipper and platonic-only water sports enthusiast and science/technology entrepreneur.
Strong preference for adventurous crew, as can be seen in the various photo albums of crew on more than 150 no-cost personal sailing adventures the past 10 years. This sail is for women that prefer to sail with other women; sorry guys but there is a big demand for female-only sailing that isn't being met! Sailing experience isn't necessary, but enthusiasm for a fun, safe and exhilarating daysail, is!
It's time for Sunset Sailing during one of the shortest days of the year at 4:45 pm today on Sunday Nov 24, weather depending!
We'll play with Helios, the Greek god of the Sun, diving into the sea as we race it to the horizon! We'll sail around the Gate, eating along the way, then an hour of sunset and night photos out by the coast. It'll be dark sailing back to the marina, and we'll enjoy beautiful photos and scenes of the Gate and the SF waterfront at night.
We'll set sail at noon and return by 4pm if weather and sea conditions aren't safe for sunset photos. If all's well, then we'll literally sail into the sunset, and how cool is that?!!!
Please note that your page may indicate the event is full-- this just moves your RSVP to the waitlist until 5-6 crew are identified. I'll send an agenda with food, drink, clothing, meeting location, marina parking and more to the crew by Friday, Nov 22.
Please be sure to respond asap to my email to your meetup registered address or you'll be cast adrift in the "Not Going" landlubber zone of washed-up sailing regrets, har har :-)
