CAMBC and SVBC are teaming up to give the Sherando area some fall trail love! On Saturday, November 16th, we will have a full day of trail maintenance along some of your favorites including Torry Ridge. All equipment will be provided, but please wear gloves, sturdy footwear, and blaze orange (it's the first day of rifle hunting) as well as bring water and food to keep your energy up.
Love Ridge Mountain Lodging has generously partnered with us to provide FREE camping for volunteers helping with trail maintenance on Friday and Saturday. Folks are encouraged to hang out, camp, and enjoy the weekend on the trails while giving back. Interested in staying in a cabin? They are available for rent here at loveridgeva.com.
Love Ridge will officially open the lodge on Sunday the 17th, and anyone who chooses to ride the next morning can enjoy wreath making and hot cider from 12-4pm.
What: Sherando Trail Maintenance
When: November 16, 2024
Time: 9am-Noon

What to Bring: Please wear blaze orange, bring food, water, sturdy footwear, and gloves.
Camping and Lodging: Love Ridge Mountain Lodging will provide free camping Friday and Saturday evening for volunteers. If camping is not desired, cabins are available to rent.
Riding/Running: Great Trail, Road, and Gravel cycling available.
This is a collaborative trail maintenance day with the Charlottesville Area Mountain Biking Club (https://cambc.org/) and the Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition (https://svbcoalition.org/).
