The trail from the western end of the bridge to Piermont is rocky, with fallen leaves, which may be slippery if wet. Hiking poles may be useful. The Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge bicycle and pedestrian path extends from the Village of Tarrytown in Westchester County across the Hudson River at one of its widest points to Rockland County. The path, located on the northern side of the westbound span, features six scenic overlooks, interpretive displays and public art across its length. The bridge offers beautiful views north towards Bear Mountain and south towards Manhattan.
You may explore Piermont, which boasts charming cafes, art galleries, restaurants, and a mile-long pier jutting into the Hudson River. We will visit the Piermont Public Library to use the public restrooms.
