Kick off the Holiday Season in Lower Manhattan
Details
Join us on a walk around Lower Manhattan to mark the start of the holiday season. Easy-paced, 3 miles. We'll end at the NYSE tree lighting, marking its 101st year as a Wall Street tradition.
Meet us in the Winter Garden under the palm trees at Brookfield Place. Our route will take us to the Irish Hunger Memorial, the 9-11 Memorial, and the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and National Shrine. We'll view two art installations, "Art Poetica" and "Wildlife Wonders" before passing through the soaring World Trade Center Oculus and historical Zuccotti Park.
The walk ends at the NY Stock Exchange Christmas Tree lighting event.
We plan to arrive around 5 pm for live musical performances before the 6 pm tree lighting. You are welcome to stay for the show or catch a nearby subway.
MEET at 3:00 pm under the palm trees in the Winter Garden at Brookfield Place. Restrooms available.
Rain cancels.
Guests are welcome on this walk, but they must sign the Shorewalkers waiver. Please forward this link to them to sign before the start of the walk: (https://rb.gy/xjk4fb)
