What we’re about
The Short Reads Club Aims to be a celebration of short-form writing, perfect for anyone who wants to join a book club but doesn't have the time or energy to invest in longer reads, people looking for a gentle route back into regular reading, and, of course, general fans of short stories.
Each month we will read a different short story. We will read across genres and always welcome suggestions of great pieces to add to our tbr.
We meet in The Amnesty Bookshop on Micklegate, usually on the first Sunday of the month. Teas and coffees will be available.
There is an administration fee of £2 per session, once costs are covered, any excess will be donated to Amnesty International UK. Payment can be made by PayPal or in person on the day.
