18km loop from Boitsfort, Place Wiener through Forêt de Soignes

Join us for a lovely and relaxing Saturday stroll as we explore the beautiful surroundings of Brussels! The day is expected to be fair, making it a perfect opportunity for a loop hike starting from Place Wiener, taking us through the serene Forêt de Soignes before returning to our starting point.

Our entire walk will cover approximately 18 km, allowing us to enjoy the rich natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere of the forest.

To cap off our adventure, we’ll stop at a local pub after the hike for a well-deserved beer and to share stories about our day together. It’s a perfect opportunity to relax and unwind!

Meeting Point:
We will meet at 11:00 at the Wiener tram stop, conveniently located near the Maison Communale de Boitsfort.

This area is known for its charming architecture and local vibe, setting a delightful tone for our adventure. We aim to return by 17:00.

During our hike, we will maintain a medium pace of about 5 km/h. Be sure to bring some food, as we will have a picnic along the way in a scenic spot, taking advantage of the serene surroundings.

Please pack at least 1.0 L of water, along with some snacks to keep our energy up, and wear good walking shoes—Gore-Tex would be an excellent choice for comfort and protection.

For your convenience and safety, ensure your GSM battery is fully charged. It’s also a good idea to bring an extra fully charged battery pack with you, just in case.

Additionally, please bring a flashlight, as we may arrive back after dark.

Weather:
The weather is expected to be fair with some cloud cover, with temperatures ranging between 4° - 5 °C. Please dress accordingly, layering up to stay warm yet comfortable throughout our hike.
