Come and join me at St Vincent's, this will be my first time here since it reopened it's doors again July as a wine & tapas bar.

Set in the mediaeval quarter of Shrewsbury right next to the famous 'Grope Lane' this is where the ladies of the night used to hang out. Incidentally, part of Grope Lane is built on the site of what was known as a plague pit.

Shrewsbury had three plague pits in total, and these were mass graves for victims of the Black Death, which wiped out half the population of England in the 14th century.
