What we’re about

SHUC Choir is the resident choir at Shaughnessy Heights United Church. We meet Thursdays to rehearse and socialize, and we sing at services on Sunday mornings.

SHUC Choir is right for you if you have interest in:
Singing
Improved musicianship
Social & Economic Justice
Being part of a loving, caring community
Meaningful spiritual connection through music

SHUC is on its journey to become an affirming church, meaning that we publicly declare our commitment to inclusion and justice for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities. There are no costs associated with singing for our choir - it's free to sing with us!

Rehearsals are free & fun and we get things done! Expect a fast paced environment with lots of singing and laughter. Questions are encouraged! There will be a 15 minute break - usually featuring snacks!

Vehicle - parking is best found on 34th Ave or Connaught St.

Transit - leave extra travel time as the Granville St. bus can be unreliable.

Bicycle - Bike parking is available around the building.
