Shut Up and Art: Museum Sketch Session

Artists will start gathering at 10am in the VMFA cafe (we’ll have a sign) where we'll chat and socialize while waiting for everyone to arrive. At 10:30, we will head outside (weather permitting) and sketch on the VMFA lawn. Afterwards, we'll debrief before adjourning.
Out of respect for museum policy, you may only use graphite in the galleries. I believe you can be a little more adventurous with your medium outside. I would still leave your oils and acrylics at home.
NOTE:
1. If you bring a large backpack, the museum will require you to wear it on your front. It's recommended you travel light.
2. VMFA allows guests to check out and use artist stools from the coat check station. Seating can be sparse in certain galleries.
