Shut Up & Write with Jalyn

Some are motivated by personal desire while others do just as well with guilt, fear of shame, and a sense of obligation. Of course, I lean towards the latter.

Shut Up & Write hosts in-person and online writing events for writers all over the world. However, we welcome anyone in need of a quiet, shared space to work with others. This includes writers, students, artists, etc. As long as you're willing to be respectful, encourage others, and put in the work, you're welcome!

Join us at 9:00 pm CST Sunday nights.

Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. And don’t worry. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice.

WHAT DO I NEED?
A computer with working camera and microphone, a good internet connection, and optionally, headphones.

OTHER IMPORTANT DETAILS:
Feel free to drop in and drop out when necessary. We don't require your camera to be on during the writing session, but we do ask that you introduce yourself with the camera turned on. Since we're in the online world, it's always nice to link a face to a writing buddy!

We'll be using Google Meet for online sessions. The link will be posted and available prior to the meeting start time for all attendees.

If you’ve never used your computer for an online meeting, take a few minutes before we meet to familiarize yourself with how to use Google Meet by reviewing the below tutorial:
