Stir It Up Shut Up & Write ZOOM
Enjoy writing in a virtual community! We'll do a 1.) a meet & greet to set a powerful intention for the session, 2.) then get 60 minutes of writing done—any writing you like & 3.) Close with a check-in that gives you a chance to articulate your learning in terms of process. What works for you, personally!
Speaking to normies about writing is never satisfying. Why? Because they don't understand what you're trying to do. Talking to writers about writing, on the other hand, is immensely helpful, because you get informed feedback about what works for other writers. No agenda, just consensus.
Write from anywhere. Join a little late. Leave a little early. Just make sure not to disturb during writing time.
- This is a safe, welcoming, and respectful space with a focus on peer support.

U.S. Pacific Time:
8:30 - Join the meeting. Turn on your video.
8:40 - 9:00: Introductions: Name, Location, Today's Goal.
9:00 - 10:00: Silent, independent writing session. Microphones muted. Videos on or off. If you need a bio break, take it.
10:00 - 10:25: Check-ins. How’d it go?Need to check the time zone? https://www.worldtimebuddy.com/
Regardless of genre, writing stirs things up. It stirs up memories. It stirs up values. It stirs up assumptions, clichés and stereotypes. It make us question perspective. It gives us a medium to help the world question all these things as well.
Writing is solitary, but if you surround yourself with people who "get" the challenges, your writing friends can last a lifetime. The time between between Shut Up & Write sessions can feel like a lifetime. Build a circle of trust with fellow word wizards. We share insights, resources and chats on anything writing. We look forward to meeting you at Stir It Up Shut Up & Write!
About Your Host: Gabrielle Pullen, MFA
I learned that the pen is mightier than therapy when my daughter died of an overdose while her "friends" were downstairs partying. It took me a while. I did morning/mourning pages for a long time. I did a blog as I traveled the world to process my grief. But it wasn't until I took all that over-the-top emotion, channelled it into characters completely unrelated to what happened that I began to heal the profound sense of betrayal, rage, sudden vulnerability & fear that was only fully expressed in my novel: Scotland, 1590. find me on shutupwrite.com @novelclarityTo Protect your privacy, Register in advance for this meeting:
