Shut Up & Write!® at Crux/SE Portland (formerly at Tilikum)

After years at Mt. Hood Brewing at Tilikum, we've moved to Crux Fermentation on SE 8th.

Our goal is to ensure that every writer, regardless of genre or skill level, has access to the community, accountability, and resources they need to be successful in their personal writing goals.

What to Expect
We support each other in the struggle to write. This group generally writes for 25 minutes or so and then takes a 10 minute or so break to chat. Although we are not a critique group, we do talk about writing topics, such as character development, plot organization, etc. The point is to encourage and offer useful tips.

What Should I Bring?
Whatever you need to be able to write!
Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to block the cafe’s ambient music or the occasional conversation by other patrons.
