WEDNESDAY MORNING Shut Up & Write! is HYBRID!

1. If you would like to join us in person for some awesome Gourmet Coffee/Teas and world-class European and American Bakery items, please join us at ELITE CAFE, 5150 Fair Oaks Blvd, Carmichael. This is across Fair Oaks Blvd from the Raley's at 5 Corners located in the center of the strip mall with the UPS Store at one end. This is a small locally owned business that welcomes us. The sight has plenty of power plugs, USB ports, free WiFi and a friendly and supportive group of people. We do recommend headphones so you are not bothered by the Zoom delay when we are conversing on line. These may also be helpful if the sound of the coffee grinder, background music or other customers are distracting to your writing.

As a security precaution you need to be admitted to the meeting by the host. If you are not on the RSVP "Yes" list for this meeting you may not be admitted. We apologize for any inconvenience, but a few immature types try to ruin it for the rest of us by crashing Zoom meetings to be disruptive.

3. We start with a video meeting at the beginning so everyone has an opportunity to introduce themselves and talk about what they plan to work on for the hour. We have a second video meeting at the end of that hour to check-in and stick around to chat a bit if you like. This is all free and FUN!

Please Note If you select to allow the Meet Up app to add this meeting to your calendar, it will put the Meet Up link in twice, but not the ZOOM link. If you simply copy the ZOOM link (above or to the side) and replace one of the two Meetup links in your calendar item for this meeting you can join both the beginning and ending meetings right from your calendar, using the same link. Of course if you make it a recurring calendar event you will have it every week. If we are ever compelled to change the ZOOM meeting number or password we will announce it prominently on this meeting listing.

You will see progress in your writing by spending the minimum of a single hour per week just writing. We encourage you to make this your focused writing time. Let nothing interrupt or distract you.
