What we’re about
Shut Up & Write! is a global community that empowers writers to overcome procrastination, silence their inner critic, and make consistent progress on their projects. Our events provide a structured and focused environment where writers can come together, set aside distractions, and achieve their writing goals.
What to Expect
Our events use our proven formula: a few minutes of introductions, a period of focused writing, and a final check-in to share our progress. Once you arrive, our host will lead introductions, and then everyone will write for a quiet, focused period of time. Afterward, we’ll have an optional time to chat and get to know each other. Our events are a safe space for writers to work on their craft. No one will read or critique your writing.

See all- Shut Up & Write!® in Stirling (Wednesday at Nooch)Nooch Bar and Kitchen, Stirling
Come write with us!
Join us Wednesday evenings for a coffee, chat and one hour of focused, quiet writing time.
Bring your own project to work on: a novel, short story, screenplay, blog, essay, poem, song ... whatever you like to write!
All writers and all experience levels are welcome, and don’t worry, we don't share what we've written. This session is just about getting your writing done and meeting up with other writers.
How it works:
• 6.30-7pm: Get a coffee, find a seat, meet fellow writers.
• 7pm: Write! Quiet writing for 1 hour.
• 8-8.30pm: Head off or stay and chat about what you’re working on/life in general.
We'll be there from 6.30pm. Look for the people with laptops/notebooks and a sign saying 'Shut Up & Write' on the table.
The event is always free, but please do buy a drink or food to thank the café for hosting us.
Please also RSVP to this event so we know numbers (and change your RSVP if your plans change).
Looking forward to seeing you there!
