What we’re about
Welcome friends new and old!
The Nassau County Group of the Sierra Club's Florida Chapter considers itself lucky to be stewards of a uniquely beautify and precious area in Northeast Florida. Nassau County includes the costal community of Amelia Island, several state parks, suburban neighborhoods, as well rural farm areas.
Join us as we organize and lead outings (hikes, biking, paddling, and more) and events (film screenings, talks, festivals) that support the goals of the broader Sierra Club.
We look forward to enjoying each other’s company, learning about the places and issues we value, and finding ways to make a difference as we explore one of the most beautiful and diverse environments in Northeast Florida.
Sierra Club is a national organization dedicated to exploring, enjoying and protecting the planet. This group is for anyone looking for outdoor activities, environmental programs, and environmental activism and ways to make our community greener!
Virtually all are FREE and open to everyone - you do not need to be a Sierra Club member to participate.
