Welcome to the SHS Shrewsbury Walk! We look forward to seeing you all.

Please note, this is a ticketed walk. One ticket per person. If more than one person is joining, please just click the +1!

Tickets have a suggested donation amount of £4 and will be sent to the selected dog's charities. You are of course welcome to donate more in cash on the day!

Walk Rules:

* ON LEAD only, please avoid using retractable leads
* Be responsible at all times for your dog - bring and use a muzzle if necessary, pick up poop, stop any unruly behaviour immediately
* Be mindful of other park users and animals
* Walk on grass verges or pavements/footpaths

We will meet at the Bandstand at The Quarry at 10:30, ready to set off at 10:45.

Free street parking is available (for 2 hours) around Woodfield Road (SY3 8HZ) and is a 5 minute walk from the start. Alternatively the Frankwell Council Car Park is free on Sundays and has plenty of space, and is a 10 minute walk.

We start the route by walking around the Dingle up towards the Blue Gates, then past the Swimming pool building towards the Port Hill Suspension Bridge. The route crosses the Port Hill Suspension Bridge and turns along the river past the Pergwern and Shrewsbury School Boat Clubs, across the Kingsland Bridge and past the Shrewsbury High School. We turn down Quarry Place, re-entering The Quarry, and walk down towards the Hercules statue and continue along the river back to the Port Hill Suspension Bridge. We then retrace our steps back up to the Blue Gates and down to the start point at the Bandstand.

The route takes approximately 45-50 minutes (depending on delays due to sniffari time!) and is very flat with one set of steps to get up to the Kingsland Bridge (this can be avoided if needed, please talk to us on the day if you would prefer to avoid these).

Weather permitting we will stop for coffee and a chat afterwards.
