Details

Join us as we visit this beautiful coastal park. There are 2 sides.
First , we will explore the garden side with the formal gardens, walk a serene path along the Matanzas River. There is a nice mostly shaded trail of 1.7 miles through coastal scrub and a lush hammock of oaks, hickory and magnolia trees. We will enjoy this hike before heading across A1A to the eastern section of the park. This is the Atlantic Ocean side with its sand beach , shore birds and it also features an extensive section of unique coquina rock formations. We will explore this too.
After that its up to you if you wish to put out your chair and enjoy a little beach time before heading home.
Admission is $5 a vehicle , $4 a single occupant vehicle, or state park pass if you have one.
Please bring plenty of water, lunch/ snacks and sun/bug protection.
There are restroom facilities on the garden side only.
We will meet in the parking area across from the garden entrance.
Hope to see you there !
