Simply A Cappella is an all-female, Award-Winning barbershop a cappella chorus under the direction of Wendi Young located in Mesa, AZ. We sing in 4-part-harmony consisting of Bass, Baritone, Lead and Tenor parts. If you don't know what that means, come be our guest and find out!
Guests are welcome at any of our Wednesday night rehearsals (7:00PM at Saint Mark's Episcopal Church, 322 N Horne, Mesa, AZ 85203). We love meeting new people and introducing them to Barbershop! :) We welcome ladies from 18 to 118 with different musical backgrounds and skills. And if you don't read music...that's okay. You will fit in with a lot of our members. We are a fun and sassy group that is always centered in positivity and providing support and encouragement to all. You will feel like you are part of a family from day one.
There is an audition that all potential members need to pass. Auditioning consists of you singing a memorized song as part of a quartet. (Truthfully...the audition is not as scary as it sounds...and everyone is there to support you.) You will have the chance to work with a quartet for a few weeks before auditioning.
