What we’re about
Welcome to the Singing the Oldies Meetup Group! If you love singing classic hits from the 60’s, 70’s and beyond - and you always SING ON KEY - please join us! If you know best hits by The Eagles, Neil Diamond, Stevie Wonder, Linda Ronstadt, Tom Petty, Elton John, The Bee Gees, Chicago, Earth Wind and Fire, Crosby Still Nash and Young, Doobie Brothers, and Chicago to name just a few, you’ll know at least the chorus by heart. We won’t have song sheets of any kind. Although we have some instrumental musicians in the group, to keep things simple for now we’re going to do the modern equivalent of singing along to the radio. The age of the music is not intended to limit the age of the participants.
We meet in public places and members’ homes, bringing our own beverages. We’ll start each gathering with introductions, sing for 60-90 minutes, have some social time, and discuss the next gathering’s timing and location. The goals are to feed the singer part of our souls, cultivate friendships, and use the group as a springboard for further musical adventures!
