This event will be very crowded in the Golden Downtown Area. Once posted and people are signed up, you’re welcome to set up carpools , since parking can be a challenge. There is 2 hours of free parking in Golden's lots and garages until 5PM, after 5PM, parking is free.

To help with this: We are going to meet for a Happy Hour at The Table Mountain Inn/Grill at 4:00. Reservation is for 20. If you don’t want to attend the HH, meet me out front of The Table Mountain Inn to attend the Pre-Show event at 4:50 and we can walk to Pre-show together. Or you might want to stay at the Grill and have another drink till the walk begins.

Golden's Candlelight Walk

Experience the beauty of the holiday season with a candlelit walk down Washington Avenue in historic Golden, Colorado. Sing carols with neighbors and friends and marvel as the street is illuminated by thousands of glowing candles and the warmth of the festive, small-town holiday atmosphere. Many of the shops along Washington Avenue are open and there are hot cider, cocoa, and outdoor cafes to enjoy along the way. At the conclusion of the walk, the "switch" for Golden's 45,000 holiday lights along Clear Creek and throughout downtown will be flipped, marking the official start to Golden's holiday season.

Commemorative Candles:

Commemorative Candle sales begin on Small Business Saturday, November 30th at sponsor locations, Miners Saloon and Baby Doe's, with a suggested donation of $3 per candle. Candle sales end once supplies run out or once the business is closed for the day on December 6th.

Wax Candles:
and possibly some glow sticks will be available the night of the Candlelight Walk between 5:00 -
6:30 pm. Sales locations include: Parfet Park, Golden Welcome Center, 12th & Washington, 13th & Washington, and 14th & Washington. Most will be sold cash only between
$1 -$3.

Can also bring your own candle if you'd like. Putting your candle in a paper cup with the flame just below the edge works well and keeps it from blowing out.

“NO SHOW POLICY If you find you cannot attend, please try and cancel 24 hours prior to the event. However, neglecting to cancel in less than 5 hours prior to the start of the event is considered a No-Show. The system can change your status (like when someone cancels with less then the required 5 hour notice) from WAIT-LISTED to ATTENDING with VERY little notice. So remember to remove your name from the WAIT-LIST when there is not enough notice left for you to be able to attend. Members with two No Shows in 6 months may be removed from the group. Emergencies always excepted from this policy.”
