Join us for a candlelight Christmas Eve celebration in one of the most beautiful churches in Chicago. Sing some your favorite Christmas carols and listen to the choir perform others in a tradition stretching back to 1831.

We'll meet just inside the doors at 77 West Washington at 6:45, then sit together. From 6:45 to 7:00 the choir will sing a selection of familiar and new songs before the service begins. The service includes Christmas music, a reading of the Christmas Story and ends with singing Joy to the World by candlelight. The service lasts about an hour.

Dress is casual.

About the Venue:
First United Methodist Church is the oldest church in Chicago! It was founded by Methodist circuit riders in 1831, six years before the City of Chicago was incorporated and moved into its current building in 1924.
