Headed back to the Roots picnic! The group attended last year and had a good time so we are headed back.
The official dates for the roots picnic have not been posted, but it’s typically the first weekend in June.
Once RSVP’s are closed for this trip, a group chat will be created to discuss accommodations, etc.
Insight from last year
*the lineup schedule and one day tickets are posted at the very last minute but just know single day tickets to the festival will be available.
*everyone traveled to Philadelphia by different means.. some drove, train, or bus and meeting up once everyone touched down was not challenging.
*the lineup will be released before the line up schedule is actually released.. once the lineup is released if you see two headliners that you want to see its best to get a two day ticket.
*if you attend roots picnic Sunday and definitely you want to see headliner plan to leave Philadelphia around 12am or Monday. If you need to return home early Sunday evening I would not purchase a ticket for Sunday.. you will miss most of the entertainers that day.
*headliners do not close out until 10pm
*bring a blanket or chair to sit! I would put this at top of your list.
