Disability Writing Workshop (FREE)

The Disability Writing Workshop is a place for all writers to gather and talk about the representation of disability in the media. We will discuss your disabled characters and analyze characters in books, film, TV, audio drama and comics. We’ll also practice exercises to build new characters from scratch.

We have a large group of disabled writers who gather but able-bodied people are more than welcome.

In this session, there is a possibility that we will discuss sensitive and triggering topics such as mental health, abuse, suicide, substance abuse and trauma. If at any point you feel it's getting too heavy, feel free to leave without explanation. We can also offer some helpful resources.
