What we’re about
A meeting of German-language speakers and learners in the SLC area open to all levels of proficiency and fluency. We will try to meet regularly, roughly every two weeks, in the Downtown, University, and Sugar House areas. I would like to keep the meetings informal, but with a focus on learning and improving everyone's speaking abilities and comfort level. Speaking, however, will not be required. If you want to show up and listen in, you're welcome, too. Fluent and native speakers are especially welcome to attend.

Hallöchen!
The holiday schedule is definitely getting busy, but we can get one more event on the calendar before the end of the year.
I have been looking around for new venues without a lot of luck. Spitz in Sugarhouse has always been popular. It can be a bit loud indoors on busy nights, but it's casual and there are a lot of food and drink options for almost everyone. I will probably pause meetings until January, so please come out if you can.
For anyone unfamiliar with Sptiz, there is a food menu with Döner-style wraps, bowls, and salads, as well as sides and appetizers. They also have several beers on tap and other drink options of most varieties. The menu is online here. There is no schedule or agenda, so feel free to come and go at any time during the evening.
Spitz is easy to reach from the 1300 East exit of I-80. For mass transit, it's a short walk from the end of the Sugar House S-Line. Parking is available on Wilmington Ave or at the Whole Foods parking lot.
Anyone with any level of fluency is welcome to attend, but speaking in German as much as possible is encouraged. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me or post a comment below.
